My friend JG drew my attention to the existence if Google Health:
http://www.google.com/health

I'm not particularly surprised. Given Google's apparent intent of gathering all of everybody's personal data, I think it was just a matter of time.

My overall feeling about the concept is intensely ambivalent. Google's approach to personal information makes me wary, but asside from that, I can see both positive and negative aspects to increased efficiency in obtaining aggregated information.

Here's a question:
Poll #3061 consolidation of information
Open to: Registered Users, detailed results viewable to: Just the Poll Creator, participants: 5

Leaving aside specific details of how you might feel about Google, for-profit companies, etc., do you find anything inherently frightening about the idea of all of everybody's personal data being assembled in one place?
