Woke up this morning run down and nauseous. Went in to work -- I teach today -- but realized that I really really wasn't up to it shortly after arrival on campus. Colleague SK who has the other Tuesday afternoon section generously took over my class as well as his. I went home and slept and was generally miserable for something like 4 hours.
Feeling mostly better now, though not brimming with energy -- ginger tea after waking from my nap seems to have perked me up, and I ate a banana a little bit ago. So far so good. Next goal is to try some miso soup. Hopefully I'll be back to myself tomorrow. In any case, I think I can get some reading done tonight.
Still don't know the cause of the illness, though it's quite possible that it relates to one or two items I'd eaten yesterday. If I feel icky again in the morning, I may drop by health services.
Thanks to SK, DD, E & L from the front office, and everyone else who helped take care of me at work this morning. Thanks also to boyfriend Tim for attending to me before I took the leap of heading in to work, and to roommate HH for making me tea when I needed it.
